Wabi II - The Live Bench

Oiled White Oak, Inset Brass
With its live edge beautifully accentuated and smoothed, the medullary rays or patterns within the grain of this oak bench are the highlight of this piece.
Brass dots the piece, its precise shape acting in conversation with the live edge of the bench.
Two legs, machined straight and square act as strong pillars that frame the wildness of this bench.

Wabi III - Stitched Side Table

Oiled French Oak
This side table emphasises the principal of Wabi Sabi best. It celebrates the natural knots and swirling grain textures found in oak.
The natural texture of the wood is juxtaposed by the square simplicity of the overall design. Lines of Brass have been inserted along the mitre join lines of the piece, to add further sophistication to this side table.

Birch and Commercial Ply - Hardwood version in development
The Wabi Sabi Stool IV is a take on a more classic stool design, with a comfortable curved seat and flared legs.
Produced from excess birch and commercial ply, this was an experiment in the uses of plywood for furniture seating.
