My Story
AKArtisan was founded by Alistair Kennedy in 2026. Originally from KZN, Alistair is from an eclectic family of artists, writers, farmers, architects and makers.
He has spent the last 10 years working within Cape Town's art and furniture world, installing exhibitions at Zeitz MOCAA and working at furniture brands such as Creme Design and Andrew Dominic Furniture.
Working alongside artists and furniture makers throughout the years has inspired Alistair to pursue a career as a designer and maker himself. The focus of his studio is to create furniture with spirit - pieces that can be appreciated and loved throughout the years.
